September 2nd is Vietnam’s National Day. On September 2, 1945, at Ba Đình Square, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnamese version of Big Brother, declared Vietnam’s independence under the new name of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (DRVN). Since then, September 2 was considered one of the most important public holidays, at least in Hanoi. Even so, the decoration of boards to celebrate this holiday is increasingly less frequent. These are couples of boards which were done in Dong Da district. You might find the location so familiar because they were featured in other occasions, e.g International Women’s Day.

If you happen to capture a board like these, or know who has taken it, don’t hesitate to let me know through the Contact page or just leave a comment here. I hope our collection will be more and more praiseworthy.
